Overcoming my fear on my first kickboxing competition

I know that anybody can participate in a competition, but the hard part is how to conquer your fears during the competition.

I was so afraid of that fight even though it was a friendly game between kickboxing clubs, so that means that there are no losers or winners, but still it was tough on me to fight in front of other clubs.

To fight against other martial artists with different styles is not easy, but once you do it, you enjoy the fact that you are exchanging skills with other fighters.

I have to admit that it was kind of tough to accept the fact that i am getting punched and kicked in the face, but after this match i was able to improve my skills and not be afraid of fighting in front of an audience because no matter how you fought, you will always be a winner because you were able to overcome your fear.

Bruce Lee always used to say:” Do not allow negative thoughts to enter your mind, for they are the weeds that strangle confidence.”

In a fight, only 20% of your power is physical and all of the rest is emotional, because with fear and less confidence you will never achieve anything in life.

At first I thought that it was hard to fight in that competition because I was still a beginner in kickboxing, but now by looking back to it I know that the word “Impossible” means “I’m possible”.
